The device of the machine does not depend on the type of poultry processed in it. The plucking beaters are designed to handle 5,000 to 10,000 carcasses, depending on their size. The quality and speed of processing will increase if the plucking machine is loaded with pre-scalded carcasses. The picking speed of such an aggregate is low, and at the same time only 1 carcass can be processed, since in this case it must be held by hands.

- Rotary machines. Here, the carcass is gently brought to a rotating drum with fingers and lightly pressed. At the same time, the worker turns the bird on any unprocessed side. Plucking time is half a minute. Carcasses of different sizes can be processed. Before plucking, the bird must be soaked in boiling water.
Despite the many modifications of such devices, the principle of operation has not changed over a century. They all have rotating planes and punchy fingers. And the principle of operation is as follows:
- scalded with hot water (70. 80 g) carcasses of various birds fall into the tank of the machine;
- due to the rapid rotation of the bottom, the carcasses spin and hit the rubber fingers located on the walls of the container. As a result, the pen is removed;
- during rotation, the carcass is poured with water for better cleansing.
It should be noted that plucking fingers of different lengths and configurations are used for plucking quails and ducks.

It is an ordinary aluminum mug (without a handle) with a diameter of 60 mm. In the center of its bottom, a shaft is fixed for subsequent clamping into a chuck. You need to drill each side of the machine. Beat fingers are inserted into these holes. They put them tightly, stretching them as far as possible into the machine.
